Taking the big dive this weekend "Marriage"
I am getting married this weekend after dating Ashley for 7 straight years. A smarter man probably would have done it a long time ago but I never said I was smart. I will post some pics of the marriage and the honey moon in Playa del Carmen, because there I should be going deep sea fish if the weath...

Re: the monkeys belly is full for now
I asked the same questions but he said it is all about what is below the polish that will let the color etch in or not. The drag star on the reel is the same material and won't take the color, but you look at a drag star for the steez and it will anodize fine. The ring on the drag star for the alpha...

Re: the monkeys belly is full for now
Fishingboy The anodizing looked flat black with a hint of blue. The reason it wouldn't take is because of the make up of the aluminum and that it was cast not machined out of a block like the Millionaire reels. GAMEOVER Yes it is an Ize spool and the reason I didn't paint the side plate is that I wa...

Re: the monkeys belly is full for now
just so you know the alphas style reels can't be anodized. The body is cast and it has some other metals in it that will not take the anodize. That is why this reel is painted because i had it anodized and found out the hard way

Re: Question for people with top end stuff (steez/MB/GC/etc)
I have some decent rods and reels and fish them 100% every time. Just because you are sloppy/rough with you stuff doesn't mean you aren't fishing 100%. I feel that people have a misconception that if you gear isn't nicked up and scratched you aren't fishing it right :!: I just have the common courte...

The first rod is the Daiwa Heartland Flight Flip HL741hxhfb-wao07. This rod is absolutely stunning the blank has a pearl purple on the entire blank and the windings are electric looking in the sun. The reel seat is stunning also only to the heartland rods. The second is the ALPHAS DEMON DC63MLR bang...
