Re: Phenix Spreads Their Wings Into the Line Market with Hydra Braid
Good to know that is seems to be a quality line. I'm always wary when a certain type of company (in this case rod builder) magically develops and brings to market a new product. Did they slap together a PE factory, or are they outsourcing and if so where and with whom? Questions I always like to kn...

Re: Phenix Spreads Their Wings Into the Line Market with Hydra Braid
This is one helluva good quality line. I'm running 30 on my Steez A HLC 6.3 paired with a custom Otterod MHX CB907 for 5/8-1.25 oz moving baits like lipless, topwaters, chatters, wakes, buzzbaits. The 10lb is very thin, excellent body/form, casts great and is strong and quiet. I have it on a Daiwa B...

Re: iRod Leans into the Power of the Sea with the SWC794C-H Poe's Mag Stick
Excellent read and write up...this rod will be en route to serve as a multi purpose light swimbait rod for 1-3 oz baits. Thanks Cal! Two years later? I'm surprised it's still available    Haha...for sure. I have gone through a few sticks the last couple of years trying to find a 1-3 ...

Dang excellent and in-depth review...it's always good to have another quality player in the arena. And a Legendary American brand name at that.

Has anybody else noticed that the Sleeper Craw has a Fook Guard? ABCF61A6-C138-401C-B783-CE3CB1EBA7C0.jpeg Weren't there twin Korean Sisters with the same first name, followed by "Yu" and "Mee" on Gold Member? We're going to see the twins! Haha...yeah man! 8-) :big grin:

Re: Evergreen International's Next Generation Super Stallion
Just wanted to bump this article up as I don't see a lot on the SS Black version...sounds like this model is specifically more inclined towards power moving presentations and has larger fill sized guides, which I really prefer for larger diameter lines and connection knots on a few of my current rod...

Re: Defying the Status Quo : ARK Fishing Creates Their Own Gravity Baitcasters
Neat little reel, and so much akin to Daiwa in the form factor. Also, this is a unique take on how to maximize the versatility of braking systems and essentially almost achieves the same application as Daiwa's 3-D Magforce, IMO.

Koolio, thanks Cal. Alconites are an excellent and durable all-purpose guide. SIC are a nice upgrade but honestly not needed for most bass fishing.

Also Cal, are these guides SIC or Alconite? The TW site reflects Alconite.
