Re: Daiwa LT frog rod
Thanks Eastfisher. I'm a big TW fan, buy tons of baits from there. Haven't tried having them ship a rod across the border though. May have to try soon... Barracucuda: How does TW deal with duties, GST, shipping costs? They do have some great stuff but I've always bought JDM because I find the JDM v...

Re: D.R. Tuning and my Pixy and Fuego
What kind of bearings did you put in your Fuego? I've already got a TD-Z 4-bearing handle upgrade on my Fuego and it helped out a lot in the retrieve smoothness department, but I am interested in putting some upgraded bearings in it eventually. Also, what do you use your Fuego for? Just curious...I...

Reading that statement isn't the result of the human mind - understanding it is the result of the switch from phonic reading to sight reading in the late 1900s. My first name is Phil and about 25% of the people who correspond with me write it as Paul. They only read the first and last letters. Yep....

Back when, a term commonly used for describing people using various artificial substances for enhancement of the perceptional process was "space cadets". Sometimes they had good trips. Sometimes they had bad trips. Long live space cadets. They are still among us.

Re: Confessions of a Monkey slave
I believe one of the more devlish processes that Terminal Tackleitis exposes you to is the enormous, invisible, and irresistable change from 'want one' to need one. From 'need one' to 'need three'. Doesn't matter what it is, if one is good, five has got to be better. Need, need, need. Terminal Tackl...

Slant-Bridge handles
I've been looking at the slant bridge handle rods from Megabass with a fair amount of interest. Even though I focus on LM, I wind up fishing for Muskie just about every time out (bad habits die hard :) ) but at my new home lake a 10-14lb muskie is a decent fish. So I throw smaller baits including so...

Re: Daiwa Luna
No problem. I used to love throwing spinners and built about a hundred of them in various weights. (lost count of my steelhead flies) Lost most of the spinners to snags, etc. I found that 1) I was better off using a 7 ft. spinning rod for spinners (better accuracy) 2) 80-90% of the guys out there ar...

Re: Daiwa Luna
shtuka, what are you going to use the Luna 103L for? I've never float fish for steelhead before and I'm thinking baitcasting might be good. Do you think I can pair a Luna 103L with a 9'6" light steelhead rod and used it for that purpose? I'm concerned that the reel may not be able to cast the light...

Re: Steez 103H or 100H...??
Thanks for the feedback guys. I own a Conquest 201 DC but I wasn't sure how much more the 101DC would add to my Shimano sets. (I've only been thinking about this for 4 or so months )
I think the Steez 103 is definitely the right move. Thanks again. Vic

Backcast wrote: Yeah the Pixy and Conquest 50 may do better on really light stuff, and the 100DC may be better for heavy stuff, but the differences are slight, and for general use the Steez is as good or better than all the other reels I have I find this discussion kind of timely. Hope I'm not highj...

Looked a long time and in a lot of places for a good 2 piece rod for jigs/worms and pitching. Gave up. Ordered a custom 2 piece from Mattman.
