Re: New Megabass Destroyers

The Siglett model is intriguing. Man it so does. I admit to a bit of fear about high-end rods that are that light, it just takes a moment of carelessness with those tips. I am also digging the Killer Code, but I have a weakness for shorter, powerful rods with a slower taper. The only I am most like...

Re: Bass Fishing Bycatches

Thanks gentlemen. 8-) Holy teeth JB! Cut the line, or did it bite/break you off? Hang in there Polk. Odd times like these always find me reaching for Hemmingway's The Nick Adams Stories. Fought it for 20 minutes or so before I could see it. We have sturgeon, flathead/blue cats, huge stingrays...

Re: Bass Fishing Bycatches

Oh yeah; it’s a staple now. I did not realize how different it is from the other variations of moving baits I throw. At times, it will ignite bites other baits just won’t. Nice little nuance. And the hookup ratio; my word. Should be banned in tx’s ha ha. I really need to start throwing those this y...

Re: Coronavirus "Covid-19"

It's getting a bit too real here... We're isolated as a country and now borders are being shut between the states and they're closing down "non essential" workplaces and industry... Who'd have thought on 01012020 when my son was born that this would have happened just a month later... This is going...

Re: Coronavirus "Covid-19"

Well, I finally lost it ...Was just in Walgreens.. Saw a man whose cart was FULL to the brim with hand sanitizers, baby wipes, soaps, toilet paper, everything that people need!! I called him a selfish *******, and gave him the low down about the elderly, moms, and people who need these types of thi...

Hi Guys,

Been lurking around for years, this is my first post.

Might be a stupid question.. but I sincerely couldn't figure it out.
How do you remove the pawl on steez ct line guide?
You may be better off asking in the maintenance forum.

Welcome aboard! :welc:

Re: Taking Aim at the Ubiquitous Stick Bait, Missile Bait's New The 48 Worm

That combo should handle The 48 unweighted no problem. I feel for ya with the frozen water :( Sweet! Thanks buddy. This has been an odd Winter here...very warm for these parts. There really hasn't been safe ice the vast majority of the season. There's not enough ice to walk on, but the lakes are st...

Re: St. Croix Legend Xtreme 2020

If that handle did not look like it belonged in a porn flick, I’d be all over trying one of these out. Lol! Are you referring to a double-sided marital aide? Hey, don't knock it until you've tried it  A few of us depraved souls have had a laugh about the aesthetics no doubt, but seriously, I f...

I can't blame you in the slightest. Even the previous iterations have been a lot of coin, and I'd want to not be turned off by it either. No pun intended.

Re: St. Croix Legend Xtreme 2020

The very first rod ‘high end’ bass rod I ever bought back in the day when I became able to do so was a St. Croix. Loved that rod. Never had anything but good experience with this rod maker since then. That other recent thread revealed to me at least that St. Croix is definitely not stagnating. I me...

Re: Taking Aim at the Ubiquitous Stick Bait, Missile Bait's New The 48 Worm

It's been over 2 years dude, I can't remember  ... my initial reaction is yes, of course, but it also depends on what you consider "conventional" casting gear. Easiest way to find out to just buy a pack. ;)   Understood...just wanted to see if board members would chime in. I me...

Re: Taking Aim at the Ubiquitous Stick Bait, Missile Bait's New The 48 Worm

Bumping this one back up.

I'm interested in this bait...thinking weightless T-rigged. Is this worm heavy enough to cast, in this manner, with conventional casting gear?
