I have reel for about a yr last fall was using it when a 2lb hit lure after releasing fish noticed reel was hard to turn handle. i would go with 30lb braid and i would tie direct to lure. I know alot of people use leaders i dont
most of the time you will bend the hook long before breakin the line

i think i had the same problem i took the palm side plate off there should be 5 pins with little springs i made sure atleast 3 were pushed all the way down. 1 use mine with all 5 down but have been using a baitcast reel for many years

was wondering if any one has used this line and what they think of it

i own a 724 and 844 and my next loomis will be a 783

i also hate cabelas i have 3 or 4 times seen sales on the internet and then drove the 100 miles 1 way just to get to the store and they dont have what i want in stock they had a big sale on quantum accurist combos well i get to the store pick out my reel and ask where are the rods that go with them ...

i use braid
i have 10lb braid that equals like 30lb test can catch anything in the river i fish

u can get a pretty decent size spool for pretty cheap
it holds up pretty well around rocks and trees
but now a days all i use is braid
