I'm sure many of us have several broken rods sitting around? What do your guys do with it? Is there any use for the components?, I have several new rods that I broke the rod tip off and I get depressed over it but at least I can put another rod tip on it, but what about those that are broken mid sec...

My name says it all. Daiwa for thier looks and because of their magnetic braking system. Shimano reels have a tighter tolerance I like the new Shimano exterior adjustable braking system o the CuradoShimanos. Wish they would have kept the aluminum side plates. So what the ideal material for fishing rods?
I'm confused as does the material in a fishing rod make a big difference in fishing.
Ok sure carbon is light but Fiberglass is also light and glass more flexible.
