Re: Booyah HD Spinnerbait

I fished a BFL with a product pro that had these in July.
They are nice and compact - Alot like the Bassboozer N style (which I use)
Looked good in the water - didn't get a chance to try it myself.

LC Bevy Shad 100 Thoughts?

I am thinking of buy a few Bevy shad to throw at fall smallies here in MI.
The Pointer is a winner and I am looking to go a little deeper with a lure that is more like the Shad Rap RS - At almost three times the price is it worth it?

Re: CLU tackle

I have purchased a number of lures from CLU. They cost the same as LC and MegaBass - I have each of them custom painted and have been very happy with CLU, Kelly and the product!

The Pitbull and Rocket Dog have been super topwater baits this season.

Two thumbs up

Gimme some tight wiggle baby!

It's smallie crank season - and I am looking to flushout my 8-15 FOW cranking duties. I like both Fat Free Shads and the Flat side DT's from Rapala, both with custom. paint jobs by me. I use RC 1.5 and RC 1.5 DD for shallower depths.

LuckyCraft RC DD 1.5??

I was at BPS last week and picked up a few LuckyCraft RC 1.5 DD

So far I haven't been nearly as impressed with their action. The standard RC's are great.

Re: Gameover and Matt....Goby speak.

Don't forget they don't have swim blatter, so they only swim a max of a foot off the bottom. You bait needs to be 'at speed' from zero to 12 inches off the bottom.

Min Kota or Motor Guide?

I have always had Min Kota trolloinh motors. But need to replacement.
After looking at what Motor guide has to offer they have the perfect spec motor for me one of their new Digital models. Should I make the switch or stay?

Re: Gameover and Matt....Goby speak.

St Clair and Erie fisherman here. Did you get a Goby shipped to you yet?
I am glad someone is hip to a goby swimbait for Smallies.
Poor Boys has one that is too small and is very hard to keep on the bottom no matter what size jig head you use. Post updates and please keep me in the loop

Line vs. Lure weight

This weekend I had a number of breakoffs on both Fluro and Mono which somewhat baffel me. I am thinking I might be using to heavy of lure for the line test.

For example 3/4oz spinnerbait on 12lb P-Line -
3/8 Tube on 8lb test

Is there a rule of thumb that I should be using?

X Shad Rap??!?!?!

I have seen banner ads for a X Shad rap on Bassfan.
I haven't seen any at BPS or any other retailer. Has anyone seen or used one?
