Re: 2015 Z-Bone LE XF
I got one of the first off the line... LEXF73 4MH... very nice build. got it w torzite guides... nice but don't really notice big difference in these guides... sometimes I feel we all have bought into the micro guides too much especially on the spinning rods as I see that many rods have poor guide p...

Re: Custom Rod that tends to cast to left
I appreciate your comments and have allowed others to cast with different lines and lures. without leading them, I ask what they felt about the casting ability of the rod,,, most all said it felt it casted slightly to the left. I have two identical blanks and builds, one casts appropriately and the ...

Custom Rod that tends to cast to left
can someone explain why a rod would seems to cast slightly to the left vs others in my collection? the blank appears to be straight. Was it built off spline? help please.
should a rod guides be build on spline or on the straight edge if rod has slight curve to it?

Re: Exo
I have one and like it. very lite and smooth caster and drag... I no longer own any Daiwa reels but I do own 20+ Revos and a few Smokes ... I would say the EXO is on par with the REVO STX

Re: Who is the sensitivity king for 2014?
Kistler ZBone... I fished the LE 7'3" MH4 ZBone vs the NRX 843 CCR and after almost a year on the water I leaned toward the ZBone. I had the exact reels, line and lures on each rod... both are excellent and one can not go wrong with either, but there was something different about the Zbone...it just...

Re: "hot" rods
the Kistler KLX and Duckett rods really got a lot of play and continue to get praise for a mid market rod. watch out for Impulse Rods in 2015

Re: NRX 873 or 894
I have the 873 and found that it is a highly versatile rod. It is labelled as Carolina rig rod And it is fine for that as long as it is not used in heavy grass like we have in Fl. I like using w senkos and flukes and even smaller swimbaits like the Little Dipper

Re: Punch/umbrella rig rod
Yes that is an option. It's 7'8" vs the others I mentioned at 7'11". Depends on your preference. Also the ZBONE st a rig blank is more of a parabolic (slow moderate) action and the KLX is a true Moderate
Either will work!

Re: Punch/umbrella rig rod
look at the Kistler A-Rig ST Zbone or the KLX Mark Rose 10x... those both have the action and power for what you intend.

Re: Chatterbait rod / Spinnerbait rod?
interesting that no one mentioned the type of line used.. which could play a role in rod selection... you might need heavy action with Mono but get away with MH Mod with braid... my 2 cents.

Co-Polymer for Topwater?
not used co-polymer line todate and thinking of testing a few out.. i have read alot and a couple of thing are not clear based on my research: 1) Co-polymer lines are denser than Mono but are they still good to use for Topwater baits or do they sink too fast and take away action? If ok for Topwater,...

Re: Anybody ever try Airrus rods?
I agree that it would be nice if TT would do full review on the KW Nano Fusion. One draw back with Airrus KW Nano Fusion is the limited line up of rods. I spoke with Ken Whiting and Francesco Di Bene earlier this month and they both said more specs /rods are coming in the next month or so.
