have you tried some of the tackle tour reel sponsors? They can probably fix you right up and for sure will like your support.

Re: How to make or where to buy spool pin removal tool
take alot of care removing the pin or you'll be buying an entire spool. We have never used a tool and have never bent a pin. just take care. we hold spool in palm of hand and with small ball pene hammer tap out the pin. be sure to tap out straight......we hold the spool with our thumb and forefinger...

Re: reel oil recommendation
well, there's lots of choices on the market. TG's yellow Rocket fuel is excellent and can be used on bearings.
IMHO. it does not matter, the trick is the amount used. Little does good, a little less does better

Re: How do you know if the pinion gear is bad?
well steelhead, when you cast and begin turning handle and hear a click-click, the pinion has not set downon the spool pins. it will also make a noise like gear not meshing. this happens when casting and angler begins to turn handle before lure hits water and the pinion has chance to seat itself on t...

Re: Do "S A-RB" Bearings differ from "A-RB&qu
maybe i can help out here a little bit. From my experience, most reel manufacturers I contacted directly used ABEC 3 bearings. We have told many anglers, there is nothing wrong with the 3 rated bearing or reel manufacturers would not use them. The tolerance so close, i sometimes wonder if really a o...

Re: Hot Sauce harms Shimano reels?
we are asked that question alot and tell customers, if a reel in warranty, altering the design will void the warranty simply because the reel was designed and manufactured to perform as specified in the design. Changing that design alters tests, etc. not apples to apples anymore. Upgrading washers, ...

Re: Need reel maintenance advice
thanks chuck for the recomendo. Appreciate you for sure.
Fred, good luck on your reels, you might want to be careful tho, on some of the reels, you might be investing more parts than you can get a return on your monies.

Re: Curado 100D Bearings ABEC 7's Vs %'s
are you talking about TG's ABEC 7 cERAMICs, they are about $41.50 for a set of two. in fact I don't think tony sells stainless bearings at all, just the ceramics. I could be wrong, but if he does, i sure have not known it all these years. I think $10 bucks or so for AB EC 7 stainless is probably a g...

Re: shimano drag grease
we do the same with the shimano drag grease by diluting it with ReelX. especially when applying it to the outside of the inner clutch roller, i take a tad of grease and tad of oil and mix between fingers and then roll clutch tube between thumb and forefinger. We use super lube on the gears and apply...

Re: Ardent Reel Butter, test information posted (sorta).
one of you mentioned super lube. that is what we use in our shop. It has a good high temp rating and low temp. Southwestern Parts in dallas has been an abu warranty center for 30plus years and that is what they use. we use the yellow rocket oil on bearings. I believe for corrosion protection, Reel X...

Re: Which bearings are best for Shimano?
this is easy question for sure. The ABEC7 stainless or the ABEC7 hybrid ceramic for the great shimano reels. IMHO since we specialize in the shimano freshwater baitcasters.
