Re: Duo Spinbait Alpha 62

Finally got one of these in and threw it some yesterday. They weren't eating the spybait but I made a few observations. Less body roll on the sink as compared to the 80's Sinks slightly faster than the 80 G Fix Runs slightly deeper than the 80 G Fix Seems to have the same action on the retrieve as t...

Popper for me, but I expect that crawler percentage to grow as more members participate.

Re: Favorite type of topwater bait?

It's hard to pick one. I said popper because I've probably caught the most and biggest fish on this style. I haven't been able to find a good frog bite this year but that can be hard to beat with how vicious the strikes are.

Not much mention on guides in this thread so far.
Was just curious about their size and if anyone is using braid to leader on the casting rods.
I’ve been fishing the 6’11 M+ with 30 and 40lb braid to a 14lb mono leader via Alberto knot. No issues.

Re: Duo Spinbait Alpha 62

BK Ayu, Goby, Shiner and Ghost Minnow are my favorites. I tend to go more natural colors when using spybaits. I seem to be having more luck with the reflective colors. I almost grabbed an extra in BK Ayu or Emerald Shiner, I will have to do that next time. The water I usually fish will typically ha...

Re: Duo Spinbait Alpha 62

Has anyone tried this new addition to the duo spybait lineup? Been throwing the regular edition more this year and curious about the new alpha 62. I've used mine a few times but haven't caught anything, but I haven't put in much time with it. Love the original. I'm now trying to learn the original ...

I was wondering this myself. I didn't get the impression it was a fat free shad but haven't seen the footage in a while (that was last year I think?).

Re: What's the best all around baitcaster??

Another vote for the Metanium MGL. If you can find a sale you can get it for closer to $300. That will probably be your best distance caster from shore. Or better yet you may be able to find one of the 2016 metaniums on sale in your price range. Otherwise I've heard good things about the Tatula Elit...

Re: 2020 Twin Power - anyone with feedback?

Sadly I received my twin power but there is an issue with something rubbing when I turn the handle. I am sending it back but undecided on what the replacement will be. I spoke to another TT member who had the same exact issue so I'm leery of exchanging it for another.

Re: Finesse Shaky Heads?

Another option you guys have is to go with the EWG ned jigheads. Lifted Jigs makes a good one that I have experience with and can attest to. I recently picked up a few packs of the owner ned EWG hooks but haven't had a chance to fish them yet. They come in 1/16oz, 1/8 and 3/16. I use the 1/16oz the ...

2020 Twin Power - anyone with feedback?

Anyone have feedback on the new Twin Power? I'm looking at a new spinning reel in the $300 - $400 price range and this is a candidate. I've been having trouble finding any info whatsoever other than marketing videos.

Can anyone help?
