Re: Hey Cal! ICAST 2023 Articles
When will they start showing up? Really interested in you and your team's take on ICAST. The closest thing I have to social media is my TACKLETOUR.com account. Thanks Hi Finnz, Appreciate the note bud. Worked ICAST solo this year so lot's to get through but already have a bunch of coverage up. Have...

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis
Curious which casting models will sport the full length grip as mentioned in the article. I'm trying to find out this as well and talking to the team about the final configurations for all the rods. I'm also a fan of the solid grip if the balance is right and that swimbait stick has me very intrigu...

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis
Need a few of these. Saves me time trying to build a custom, the price is too right. Handling this rod and feeling a jig at the end of the line really has me blown away on the aggressive price. This one definitely will push some of the other manufacturers to up their game when it comes to price-per...

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis
I wonder when these new Xray (gen II?) blank will come to NFC for sale. Love to build a big jig rod that is really light weight. The team at Edge is saying that the new Carbon-Tex reel seat and next gen X-Ray blanks will be available shortly after the Epitome rods start shipping. It feels lighter a...

Re: Souped Up : Aftermarket Bolt-On Reel Handles from Gomexus
If they removed the logo/text from their handles, or made "Gomexus" more subtle, I would be buying them for many of my reels. It is not that I dislike the brand, I just prefer not to have many different brand names spelled out on the the same reel... I have some "Megabass" knobs that I have trouble...

Re: Daiwa Steez AGS – Not “The One” You Might Expect but Absolutely the One When it Comes to Versatility
Great write up. Please keep the high-end non-swimbait rod reviews coming. Thanks Phish-Hunter, and appreciate the read and feedback. We have a lot of non-swimbait related content coming and in editing now, including some high end reel and rod articles, and will be going deep into BFS this season. A...

Thanks JB, Sorry about that and looks like you were on the article right away. Should be updated with the right matrix from this morning and might need a refresh or two. Appreciate you.JBcrankaddict wrote: ↑Sun Feb 27, 2022 8:49 amGood review, and looks like you guys had a fun day. Check your pluses and minuses columns though, wrong lure.

Hi Guys,
Sorry for the delay, been on the road for two weeks. I reviewed the standard Hakai casting reel - HDT100X (8.1:1) model. I've only seen magnetic cast control system on the series.

Hey can we get a review on the G. Loomis GCX rod used in that review? Hi Hulkster! Thanks for the request and on it! It's one of the upcoming articles and we just need to finish the RoD deflection measurements/comparisons and this one will be in the mix. Been fishing it with a variety of reels incl...

Hi Mark,
Good question, and I'll go back and add this in when I have a chance to shoot some images. The handle knobs are relatively smooth but they do not have bearings, and rely on bushings only.

Re: Not Afraid of Contact - The Jackall Chubble Minnow Shaped Squarebill
I have been using the Chubble for a year or so now, it’s one of the few cranks I do use. I got into them to fish over the top of the hydrilla fields that a lot of my local ponds fill up with in the summer. They work excellently for that, the 2-3’ running depth is usually perfect for just skimming t...
