Re: Pflueger 2011 ICAST ?????????
NYBASSIN---I wish Pflueger had introduced something new too-when you can produce very good reels as they do it is nice to see more new ones.

Re: Pflueger 2011 ICAST ?????????
"circumstances" The circumstances I was talking about is that although Pflueger is not announcing new reels and changes at least isnt pulling a Shimano on us. Pflueger has some good reels, both casting and spin, and if they choise not to improve on them they are leaving them at just that --good reel...

Re: Calcutta 50
 Wonderful posts--Thank all of you for the great information about calcutta reels. I love these reels and Shimano really hit a home run when the came out with this line of reels. I am lucky enough to own a te100gt and wish I could afford a 50 and 100dc but at the same time really like the te100...

Re: Calyx by Shimano
I have the caylx cyx200 and have had it for several years. About all I used to use it for was trolling. It was not a good casting reel and no way of setting brakes to lossen it up. You couldnt backlash it-it wasnt free wheeling enough. I havent used for about three years.

Re: G. Loomis rods on eBay...
If I cant save at least 40 dollars on a rod including shipping, I wont buy a rod on ebay. I went through one big hassle with UPS shipping and will now just go to a local dealer and walk out with it in my hand. Besides we have to support them too. Just my 2 cents.

Very interesting to see the direction Shimano is headed with their rods-especially owning Loomis too.
