i'd start here and find a place near you, if there's noone near you, call someone, i remember being steered in the correct direction, and getting the parts i wanted the last time i was interested, and they never charged a dime.

Re: Polish this !
but on a daiwa there is a steel disk that sits between the bottom of the drag stack and the main gear, so there is no real contact between drag washers and the gear itself. does polishing the teeth actually make the retrieve smoother? i know when i tuned my luna, i just made sure to polish the angle...

Re: Disposable reels

Re: Polish this !
when you consider the way the drags on a daiwa work, it seems that all of the polishing done on the main gear is purely for aesthetic purposes and will not improve the function of the reel in any way.

Disposable reels
If you are thinking about buying a shimano reel that you can pass down to your child, you might want to step back and think again. i have two reels that were quite expensive at the time (calcutta 700 S's) which are now unfixable. there was a flaw in the design which causes the pawl that reengages th...

Re: calais core steez...
don't tell me the steez can't effectively cast weights below 1/4 oz, last night i was casting a 1/4 oz megabait twitchin L, a lure without a shifting weight, a usable distance on my TD luna and 10 pound test, on a 6'6" MH fast action rod! if that's the case, i'd expect a steez to be awesome with lig...
