Re: top water rod for 1 oz +/- baits
you guys have expensive tastes
. I should have put in a price range which would be under 300.00. Right now I'm using a cumarra 7'11" mhxf which when I bought it I thought it was the reaction series. Over all a great rod but I think I need something a little more moderate. thanks again

top water rod for 1 oz +/- baits
Looking for a rod for 1 oz topwater baits (buzzjets, i-louds, i-jack, whopper ploppers, etc.). I mostly fish large shallow flats at night so I need to bomb it out there and be sensitive enough to feel the action of the lure and any weeds that it may catch. The reel will be a zillion type-r spooled w...

Re: Zillion type-R problem
Thanks for the replies. Sounds much better than a total replacement of the gears which I was thinking it might be.

Zillion type-R problem
Was out fishing early this morning casting with my Zillion type-R. On about the 5th cast the reel wouldnt engage and there was just a clicking sound when turning the handle and the spool wouldnt turn. The line guide moved back and forth normally. Other than taking out the spool and oiling the spool ...

Re: 50lb Braid For Swimbait Fishing?
I use 65 lb test original pp. 50 works fine but every once in a while you might get that dreaded backlash and the line snaps. Never had a problem since switching to the 65 and also get fewer backlashes. Usually I'm fishing around weeds and mostly at night. One thing I noticed when throwing heavier b...

tsi 321
Did a search and couldnt find anything for quite a while on 321 for spool bearings and level wind. For those that use it do you still like it? How long does it last or does it last longer than oil? Can you put oil on top of it after it has been used for a while? I only fish fresh water but it is usu...

Re: handle zillion type r
Did the cup washer come off (what the handle seats on when the handle came loose)? If so, the shoulders of the the shaft are just eating into the backside of the handle. Pics would help figure it out, if you can post some up. this must be what happened. I looked at my 50th anniversary zillion, but ...

Was out on the water around 3 in the morning Wed. Half an hour later I hear something fall so I put on the headlight and nothing. A little later I hear a couple more things fall. Headlight on I noticed the nut ,little red thing and the screw that holds it on were gone. When it got light and got back...

Re: Tatula sv vs TD-Z 103hl
don't need to hold anything down, just press the button. You can press button down with your thumb and hold spool at the same time or I just move my thumb after pressing button. I have 2 tdx and 1 tdz with that feature and have been using them since 2003 with no problems. No experience with the Tatu...
