Re: Midstrolling
Kyoya Fujita uses Jackall Driftfry and Daiwa Steez Real Control rods, as I recall 61L and 65ML models, none of them has ST. And he is really good at this technique.

I bought mine at Amazon -
Vessel Megadora Normal Screwdriver +1 x 75 900
I just looked - it’s available for $8, when I ordered mine I paid $18 or so.

Had this Shimano-Jackall Poison Adrena rod before upgrading to Ultima. Nice balance and very sensitive. Great option for t-rigs and any soft plastic applications.

Re: Bearing cleaning in ultrasonic cleaner
What I watched several times - it is not recommended to keep bearings (includes stainless steel) for more than 60 seconds.
I use some Krytox grease and oil and found this video how to clean bearings.

Re: JIS screw driver set
Received yesterday the Vessel JIS screwdriver with a JAWSFIT tip to handle couple Daiwa's death screws, I had on my brand new Daiwa T3 SV TW reel I bought a month ago, and it worked like a dream! Could not unscrew using WIHA and WERA screwdrivers. The screws had a blue loctite on them. Kudos to Mist...

Ordered the Vessel Green +1 with my corporate cc, we will see how it's going to unscrew couple of my "death" screws.

I have couple Daiwa “death” screws in the handle knobs, no way I can heat up these screws.

Re: Varivas Super Trout Advance Double Cross 8 PE braid
Which Varivas PE line for trout fishing comes in 6lb sizes?
One of the Megabass Pro Stuff mentioned he uses the line specifically for his trout BFS setup.

I own the X7 Western Flip and the X7 Extreme Mission, and would choose the EM in your case.evilcatfish wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 4:10 amInteresting suggestions, I'll need to look into these. I had briefly considered an X7 Western Flip but I'm afraid it may be just a bit lighter power than what I'm looking for

Re: Do you still use Boca Bearings inside your reels?
I bought couple hybrid bearings from JZN store, when somebody mentioned them first a year or two ago, and really impressed with a quality. The only issue with them - you can't remove protective shields. Wish they would come with one side opened.

Holy Hell! How Kyoya uses this rod, if the guides so small? As I recall he puts braid on his reels.

YGK and X-Braid are the same company. I think YGK change the name to X-Braid about three years ago.
