Re: Passing of a longtime member...

I remember conversations with Marc being all excited about trying to replicate the 6.4:1 gear set that came in the legendary Airy Red KTF Pixy... a way to speed up his beloved platform back then was of significant importance to him. I'll think of him next time I turn the 7.2:1 gears in my old Pixy p...

Re: TackleTour Shootout : Stella FJ vs Exist LT

Very nice review, well done. I've done my own shoot out as well with both reels on everything from the legendary Steez AGS 76MML, Legend Elite 7'6" ML and M, Megabass Flyssa, Brigand, Addermine, X7 Simoom, NRX 852s, 872s, Conquest 902, and several others. There's no doubt the Stella is a high q...

Re: Rumor? Curado K/Met. Drive gear Swap?

So in the other thread, it was said only the drive gear is compatible. Which is the real story? http://www.tackletour.net/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=74529&start=45#p614388 I haven't read the other thread, but I do know that the conversion kit available at The Tackle Trap fits and works. That's th...

Re: Rumor? Curado K/Met. Drive gear Swap?

So any truth to the rumor that the Metanium 13/MGL and Curado K Drive gears might interchange? Thanks, Kurt The Metanium MGL/13 Brass Conversion Kits are in stock at The Tackle Trap! Here's a photo of a 13 Metanium getting the brass 6.2:1 conversion kit :D https://preview.ibb.co/fdB9bR/IMG_3658.jpg...

The Tackle Trap has a Curado E7 7:1 upgrade kit that includes the key washers and Carbontex drag washers available, and the same for the Chronarch E6 6.5:1 upgrade kit both of which drop right into your Citica E.

Re: Chronarch MGL Mechanical Brake Knob

I was hoping to put all ZPI parts on a ChMGL, but I can't seem to find this knob for the Chronarch from them. Here's a photo of a ZPI 92mm carbon fiber Handle for Shimano with stock Chronarch MGL knobs installed. Bryan at The Tackle Trap installed these today. http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff3...

Wherever they are made, the new Chronarch MGL is a huge improvement over Chronarch Ci4+ in my hands. Good work Shimano =D>

Re: Chronarch MGL Frame Material?

MGL > Magnumlite > Ci4+ ? Magnumlite has been around for donkeys years, MGL (MaGnumLite) seems to be an abbreviation of that and Ci4 was the next technology up from Magnumlite used in the rotors of quite a few reels and their rotors... Magnumlite refers to the spool material, not the frame material...

Re: Chronarch MGL Frame Material?

I have also been told specifically that the frame is not Ci4+ material as micro module and Ci4+ don't mix, again, so I've been told. However, the only answer I've received is that it's a different "composite" material...

Re: MG 50 handles

I think almost all Shimano b/c handles fit each other for the most part. I use the Curado 201E7 handle for my 51MG's. It has one bearing per knob and has the gold inlay in the handle which I think looks nice. Rick Exactly. I had Curado E7 handles on my Chronarch 50mgs and they were a huge improveme...
