Re: Bantam Curado vs. New Citica?

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm leaning towards the citica but the green curados are considered such a reliable reel. It sounds like I'll be happy with either.

For around $100.00 I can get a brand new Citica or for around $85 a used bantam curado in good shape. Which would you recommend?

Re: BPS Johnny Morris baitcast reel

I got a used Johnny Morris a few months ago for $85 in new condition. At that price I think it was a steal. The reel is nicely constructed, comfortable to palm, casts a mile and is easy to adjust. I love it. But, the handle does have a little play in it. As far as servicing and parts I can't say for...

#18 please.

I have not thrown a Jackall, Megabait, Megabass, or Lucky Craft lures this summer. :(

I have done pretty well with 10" worms and ozmo creatures. Oh, and I just started making my own jigs.

Re: Best Lizard

I really like the Gambler Loco Lizard. The tail has a great swimming action so you can combine your retrieve. I swim it (reaction bite), then kill it (descent), then fish the bottom, repeat. They have one of the strongest garlic scents I have ever had the misfortune to experience. Opening the bag al...

Re: Fisherman's wrist pain

My wife feels the same way about the bar of soap she sleeps on to ward off leg cramps at night. I think she's crazy but she told me that when she wanted to hear my opinion, she'd b-slap it out of me. LOL! My wrist hurts after throwing frogs or another high-speed search bait for a long time. I...

I believe that Zoom has a patent on them and that's why GYCB had to stop selling the first version and reintroduce this one. There is a thread about it here with some more info.

Try a carolina rig. The extra weight will allow you to cast further.

Re: Drop Shot From Shore

I've had a lot of success drop shotting from shore this spring. I pitch it with a 1/8 oz weight and a joe's jig trailers' Shakit worm.
