I do like Costa's but over the years I have found that the frames dont hold up well
I always get the glass lenses and this review gives me an itch but i will just have to see

One thing I do is thread in a swivel onto the split rings as added weight. That way I'm not actually switching out the trebles.

Just so I am following you correctly you just have the swivel hanging from the split ring all willy nilly ?

Great read but I would agree that the price is pretty steep but maybe on par with the rest of the market

should have gotten another of the rod they were discontinuing as this price point is HIGH for ANY ABU PRODUCT
but I am curious of the 1-5 rod..

took this rod out for two days and I used a variety of techniques. I was under impressed with a slow geared reel that i was using and switched to steez limited and custom painted zillion i once thought of selling.. both on the boat and on the bank I have found this rod to be one of those rods posses...

finally got this rod in and hopefully will be tossing a few things tomorrow.
initial inspection of this rod is that it reminds me of a short power versatile and dead sword offspring.

I love mine and i think i should get another one and try some other stuff
price point is great

I’ve read the article several times and the picture of the build on here looks really good too. They both did really amazing builds
I may break out my old one and see how I can improve on it
