Re: Extensive Fluoro Test
Bet when you use double improved clinch knot it will change the way you fish no matter what flouro you use.

May buy a Gekka just because, believe flouro won't hurt it, simply enjoy Daiwa reels.

Re: 22 Aldeberan BFS Line Choice Help
I use strictly strait 8 pound Red Label flouro so I don't have any connections , casts smooth and far.

Re: Fluoro on Gekkabijin
Seems to me Daiwa reels never have back play as Shimano reels, feel more solid but looks like I may wait for SS or new Conquest to come out as it will hold most of the time 7 pound test.

Fluoro on Gekkabijin
Would using fluorocarbon or mono line actually compromise this reel,as am thinking about buying one, seems to me lately Daiwa reels feel more solid then Shimanos.

Re: Dream reel, Antares BFS
I'm with you sss, a mid 5 oz futuristic Calais , Antares BfS with brass gearing would be amazing. This reel in my opinion would be the finest casting reel ever made.
