BFS Monkey Mistake
Just opened a box from overseas with a SS TW 8.5L and a MC Finetail FSG. Labored hard on the rod decision and wanted to try the "glass" experience so that narrowed the choices. Had several in the cart and ended up taking the MC. Problem is I received the fsg-4102ul which is the spinning version. Pri...

?? TDZ color drag star options ??
Need a Daiwa purple drag star for an SV103.
Can a "TDZ" be modified to accept the available non threaded drag stars?
Thanks.

? 34mm Mag-Z Boost in SV103 ?
Would this combination work and be similar to Zillion HD without the tws? Want to bomb 3/8 and 1/2 Dark Sleepers and Gill Sleepers as far from shore as possible. Rod is 7-4 mh.

Re: MB Dark Sleeper
All sizes work for us as you can see in the pics above. However, the 3" 3/8 oz in HanaHaze and Wakasagi produce bigger fish. It is all my son fishes now until he gets them hung up and runs out. They are not cheap but did the math... it's about 42 cents a catch at the rate he is going. I keep a stash...

DX702C broke in transit not in use.
Great warranty. Sent in part of the rod with $100 and a new one will be on way.

What started out as a search for a $70 spare R+ spool...
I found a spare R+ spool in this TDZ PO from a TT member :big grin: TDZ PO.jpg I like 1/8 ML rods and read a recent TT review on the 47. This one is the 7.0 and rated 1/16 - 1/2. In true TT fashion the shoes match the dress. Really excited to try this out. Not too expensive. Ordered direct with disc...

So glad they are "right-hand retrieve only". That keeps the monkey off my back.

That's a good one. I wade and fish from the banks and have had this ruinan entire day. Now I take an extra spool with me.

I want a 2pc ML for casting and lure ratio 1/8-1/2. Volkey and Hygua are top of list now. $150 price range.
Anyone have feedback on the Hygua?
