Re: question about the calais reel's spool
I think I did not word my question too well... Let me try it again...
For example, can I put the calais apv spool on a calais asv reel? Can I put the chronarch apv spool on a chronarch asv reel? I asked because I can have 2 size spools for each of those reel; one with higher cap. of line.

Shimano Conquest 300 question
I hope someone can help me out here... I can't find much review on this reel.
Will I be having problem casting light weight with this reel? for example, 1.5" pencil lead?
Anyone with experience with this model please feel free to coment... Any help will be greatly appreciated.

question about the calais reel's spool
I was wondering if a calais asv spool can fit on a calais 200B or BSV reel or the other way around?
Thanks for helping... I tried to email and contact shimano but I hear no answer from them.

Re: Steelhead drift/float with a pixy/chronarch mg50 baitcas
I did not read the mg 50 part my bad. I thought it was just low profile reel... Anyway, I use the same setup catching chums and spring in the river here too. I think it can be done but not with reel sizes like pixie or mg 50...

Re: Steelhead drift/float with a pixy/chronarch mg50 baitcas
I float fished this coho on the 24th of sept this year. It is not big but my 10 year old chronarch holds up well with 12lb test on it. My rod is 8'6 but I would prefer something at least 9'6 long for float-fishing...

Re: Help me decide - reels
I would fish the tidal part of the river... So I should stay away from the Core and Steez... I thought the core supposed to be salt approved...
Anyway, if that is the case, should a Calais be a better choice? Or can you suggest some light salt proved low profile?
