Re: POLL: 13metanium or chronarch Ci4+?

Not trying to insult the original post/er, but until the CI4+ is released, I'll just refrain from voting on this one.... Have to wait until I get my hands on the CI4+ to answer this one...... B heh, i ordered all of my JDM reels without ever laying my hands on them first. in fact, that's probably t...

Re: T3 Users Club Feedback

I tried to refrain but posting but just can't... I own 1 - T3. I also own 6 Steez 103's. The T3 was a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect the same tolerances and just overall great reel that I got assembled in "Thailand"..... This reel is just incredible. I'm with Bronzefly in that I don't really lik...

Re: Stripping Gears during hookset

I have, but it was just the pinion... Back in the late 80's- was a Shimano Bantam reel of some kind. Replaced that stupid pinion a half a dozen times, even though every time I opened the crazy thing up, springs flew everywhere! It definitely wasn't on par with even the lower tier reels offered today...

Re: Palming a Steez 100 or 103

I'm with Carlos on this one. I have 6 Steez, 4 Zillions and 2 Alpha Itos. I have smaller hands too, and the Steez palms much more like the Alpha than the Zillions.

Re: Chronarch CI4+

Personally I liked the looks of it. I'm a Daiwa guy outside of my two 100DC's, and TE100GT, which I crank with, so I probably won't be buying anymore shimano LP's, but I still would like to get my hands on one and see what the CI4+ is all about....

Chronarch CI4+

Just thought I'd pass along that Zona just posted a video to YouTube of the new Chronarch CI4+. Not many details but you can catch a look at it.

Re: Megabass Frog Rod?

Call Gary at the Tackle Trap. He will point you in the right direction as he's probably had more experience using and handling the Megabass rods as anyone.. Good luck, should be fun.... :D

Re: what new glx cbr would be best for throwing small ricos

I haven't used the Loomis line of rods in a long time, but if I had to choose one for Ricos it'd be the tried and true GLX 783CBR. It's a classic blank that does it all in my opinion.... If it's a dedicated topwater rod I'd be hard pressed to spend the extra dough on the GLX myself. I'd probably go ...

Re: Daiwa T3 1016

I just got one direct from Daiwa and it came with a Metal piece over the frame where the grooving has been shown on some of the pictures that I've seen. As far as performace goes, it's on par with what I'd read. It is a great caster and seems to be as smooth as my Zillions. It has a similar feel to ...

Re: Need new froggin' reel recommendations

For that price I'd suggest maybe the Premier.? I know you can find them online for very close to that price. The STX wouldn't be a bad option either.. Think this is the first time I've recommended an Abu, but the new Chronarch 200 wouldn't be a bad choice either in that price range.
