Well I'm glad I'm not the only one secretly using a spinning reel seat with a baitcasting reel mounted.

There's something about palming without a trigger that so much better.

I really like the original Salmo Sting that came in both floating and suspending versions. Simple designs but worked great for river fishing, especially when the walleyes are running in shallow water where jerkbaits come into play when casting from shore.
