Re: St. Croix Physyx Rods
Well not all engineers are artists.
This does intrigue me and how a two handed casting method would be altered. plus or minus.
They shouldn't use that hook keeper. I always hate how it snags stuff. Not often but once in a while it does.

I may as well go with, ACME Kastmaster. Open water and ice fishing.

Re: What Other Species Have You Caught by Accident?
I just remember that one time I caught a freshwater oyster on my inline spinner Rooster Tail. What are the chances of a clam coming down river at just the right time with it's clam open just to clamp down my my inline spinner? I thought I caught the weirdest fighting fish that just seemed to plane a...

Re: What Other Species Have You Caught by Accident?
Why is it than when you hook into a big fish, there's usually a crowd of people start to gather about or some nosy fishermen from way beyond decides to come over. It could be just two boats on the entire lake and they will still come over. But that time when I hooked into a snapping turtle on ...

Re: Underestimated Lures (or Unappreciated)
Bay De Noc Vingla https://swedishpimple.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/V_Glo-600x205.png It's a variation of the Swedish Pimple spoon with some side fins/wings on the lure. Instead of how the Swedish Pimple spoon with it's kicking retrieve, the Vingla sort of has more of a slower side to side wobble...
Re: Rain Gear
This is where I wished the old super old Browning Hunting gear was still made like it was like...30+ years ago and it was labeled Gore-tex. Of which I was only able to afford a super cheap Browning Gore-tex pull over pants that I did get some camp fire sparks burnt holes. However it still has better...

Re: Underestimated Lures (or Unappreciated)
Bomber Slab spoon. When you look at it, it's too simple of a design. An oval shape with a flatter side and a raised V side. It's quite heavy for it's size too. That makes it's a total bomb cast for distance and fast sink rate too. When fishing in current where most other spoons and lures will tumble...

Re: Bass Fishing Not Very Popular?
Do we include white bass, stripers, and hybrids wipers. How about Rock Bass? :big grin: Living in four seasons upper midwest, half the time or rather barely three months out of the year there's ice fishing. So panfishing probably trumps, but it's easy and light to ultralight gear is all that's requi...

I didn't keep track. But I think I had to be the discontinued Yo-Zuri Bass Arms Swisher. Probably because I can stupid fish this lure more so.

Re: Do You still Use Lures that You Bought, When You're a Kid?
I didn't buy them as a kid, but sort of claimed ownership of them from my father. There were some Rapala Floaters, Mepps Aglia Spinners, and a few feathered jigs. Back then it was still mostly a bait and wait rig of either bottom or on a bobber. I didn't really buy anything until I started...
