Re: Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!
New Tatula spools. 6.18 grams. Air brake with black inductor. $33. They come in different sizes to fit the SV CT, CT/100 and 100 SV reels. Got a silver one for my Tatula CT SV on the way. LowRange, have you tried your spool yet? IF so, how do you like it? I ordered two spools for my Tatula SV TWs (...

Re: New Megabass Destroyers
OK, I have experience with both the FMJ (my favorite in the US lineup) and the P5 Tachyon Shaft. First off, they are very different. The TS is definitely a JDM taper. No surprise there. The FMJ is perhaps more powerful than it’s F6 rating, as it feels pretty stout until you fish with it and it just...

Re: New Megabass Destroyers
that could happen... I love my FMJ, it is a GREAT jig rod... BUT I am always looking for what could be BETTER... I wonder how the Tachyon Shaft differs from the FMJ? Is the difference worth selling the FMJ and moving to the the TS? Or would it be more of a situational or JIG function that would make...

Re: New Megabass Destroyers
SD is listed as medium fast and it feels like the "typical" medium fast that I'm familiar with from other MB rods. I think that the DS is more sensitive than the SD, largely a function of the fast(er) taper rod. jmb27, have you fished either the Daemos or FMJ? It sounds like their both being Fast v...

Re: Megabass Triza GRILS
I have the Sparna and it is a great all around F2. I have used down to 1/8oz and it loads well. I haven't fished past 3/8oz on it. It is my "heavy" BFS (finese) rod for plastic jigs/swimbaits/small poppers and cranks. (I have a plethora of UL BFS rods, including my XUL Teton TTC510S). I got my dad t...

Re: Shipping times nowadays
on a whim I ordered a Alphas air tw on Asian Portal on 7/17 late Friday. It just landed on my door step about 45mins ago, 7/23. considering the weekend was lost in the order process (timezones/etc), it came fast for a Pandemic period. thanks Asian Portal Fishing. now if ALIEXPRESS Kuying Teton can ...

Re: Better than the average travel rod?
Seriously have to buy the travel bag separately for another 80 bucks!? That's a freaking joke 😕 the rods themselves come in a nice soft "plaid" bag. the travel bag is pricey, though you can stick a couple rods and reels and a small tackle box in there. I often bring one reel, with two spools, a BFS...
