Vibram fivefingers, Merrel Glove or Crocs.
The vibram fivefingers looks terrible, but I love how comfortable and agile they are.

Re: Braid to fluoro question
There is a popular knot for that here, however I have not tested on a small diameter leader. Please see the video bellow. You wont be able to understand, but just by watching you will get it. This is the bes knot I have seen to avoid casting interference. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_...

Re: baitcaster for saltwater
The favorite here is the Daiwa Alphas 103 (purple one). It is very durable and has a solid performance, but I am not sure if you can still find one.

Re: Braid for UL and ML?
I hated the 15lb samurai. I had some breakage problems on casts and it set me off. I have heard some other people complain about this too. I heard the higher strength samurai are much better. I bought a 10 lb sufix 832 now, but have not had the chance to use it yet.

The question should be: 5.3% gain compared with what?

Re: $80 - $100 blank
Most of Brazil has peacock bass, however just in the North of Brazil they like the crazy woodchopper 2 oz lures (a different strain lives there and this strain gets up to 23 pounds). LOL I asked for a strong blank (resilient and with a good backbone) because peacock bass tend to fight much harder th...

$80 - $100 blank
Hello.
I am interested in getting a blank between 80 and 100 bucks, however I have little knowledge about the blanks on this price range. I am looking for a MH, fast blank. I need a strong blank, this rod may see some peacock bass around 12 pounds. What brands and models should I consider?

Re: St Croix crankbait blank?
My 3C70MHM is pretty simple. I was looking for functionality. 7', standard cork handle and micro guides. I did not want split grip because I think the standard grip is more comfortable when you use the forearm and body to support the rod. If I could rebuild it I would have made it with the same hand...

Re: Swimbaits for smaller fish
The lakes with bass in Brazil get a lot of pressure, I doubt there is anything really big here (8+). I will give the 6" a try, if they work I may be tempted to try a 8".

Re: Swimbaits for smaller fish
I am in the south of Brazil, the coldest it gets here is in 30's, however the bass don’t grown much... So I guess I could try swimbaits up to 6" without a problem? For starter I was thinking about trying the Mattlures Bluegill U2 (in Tilapia pattern) and the Mattlures Tournament Series (bullhead), b...
