Re: Challenge: Pick 4 NRX Spinning Rods (if you could only carry 4)
I'll have to check out that 841 Inshore! I almost exclusively fish smallmouths and carry four. The four I carry are: NRX 901/ NRX 902/ NRX 842/NRX 872. Those handles from hair jigs and finesse swim baits to drop shot and tubes. The only other spinning in my boat is a 6'8" Medium Zodias that I like f...

Re: Bazooka grip for Musky / Big Pike
The PAC Bay revolution seats have been available for a few seasons now and are in my opinion very comfortable to fish. I have them on 4 of my musky rods now and find myself grabbing those more often than my standard reel seat rods.

Re: Rod Recommendations
Fishermans warehouse in CA still has a Expride A 6'8" MH fast Casting in stock. Its not a really fast blank and on sale at under 200$ its a great deal for what your looking for! I have no affiliation with this retailer.

TDX -Airmetal reels are basically TDZ's and are good options for getting gear sets and other parts.

Look at a muskie jerkbait rod. Something rated to 6 oz or so if you need a rod that short.

Re: Paddletail swimbait
My favorite paddle tail rod is definitely the original black Cumara spinning in the 7’6” medium model. I wish I could find a backup for this rod but it seems to be a less common model.

Re: Favorite Established Big Bait Manufacturer - 2020
Surprised to see the HPH review with long wait times from Randall. His baits have been consistent producers and kept relatively quiet because of them not being widely available like a bullshad.

Re: Favorite Established Big Bait Manufacturer - 2020
Same as the above post..in the midwest I fish mostly moderate sized swimbaits readily available. Jackall was my pick because of the Ganteral and Mikey SR. I also fish quite a bit of baits from FOM which are readily available along side mag drafts and large keitechs.

Re: what is the best one stop shop crankbait rod?
The 764 rm is considerably lighter and smaller diameter blank than the 764 glass. I had the 765 cb glass at one point and it was heavy and clubby in my opinion. The only glass in my lineup is the old original tatula mh glass which is an awesome 3/8 oz chatterbait rod.[ quote=MRQturbo post_id=686391 ...

Re: Football Jig rod vs. C-Rig Rod
I use a champion 804c for both football and Carolina rigging as well as lighter umbrella rigs. It handles all well in my opinion.

Re: what is the best one stop shop crankbait rod?
If I had to pick one it would be my dobyns 764rm. It will throw small flat sides and square bills to smaller deep divers. It has the tip of the 704 coupled with the mid of the 705 and a little extra length that helps with light baits.

Re: Gamma Fluoro and CoPoly
Gamma edge is a great flouro and holds up well to zebras on the great lakes when smallmouth fishing. I tried touch and was not impressed with the durability or sensitivity of that line. Likewise their mono while being a decent line had too much stretch for my liking. I stick to Pline CXX for my mono...

Re: IMX Pro ice rods
I'm guessing a dealer with some Bros named Thorne ;) They have solid carbon blanks made for them to build. I have several Ice rods from them and they are extremely nice. Most of the stuff I've seen from them is in the 90-140$ range. Tuned up custom rods also assemble some nice Ice rods as well again...

Re: Looking for a swim bait rod 2-5 oz
Phenix M1 8’ heavy 1-5 oz rating handles jig and treble hooked baits well.
