Re: Kicktail Lure Kit - What are the plastic shads?

No. The original kit had the 3 hard bait kicktails. Included with the kit were a set of soft plastics that were not advertised as part of the kit that did not look like the item suggested in the previous reply. I remembered that the include soft plastics included were flukes and shad plastics. Might...

Kicktail Lure Kit - What are the plastic shads?

So my brother and I bought the Kicktail lure kit back in the late 90's early 2000's. While we didn't use the kicktail much at all, we did find use for the plastic shad.

Ever since we have been trying to figure out who makes them and how to purchase.

Any information would be awesome.

Thanks.

misprint questions?

Not sure if this is the right location for this but...what are most retailers policy on price mis-prints? Just end a issue where I made a purchase with a mis-misprint including non-misprinted items. They sent everything except the misprint. But never informed me about the order change or that they w...

UV curing?

I was wondering if anyone uses or can you use UV curing for gluing guides? Just thinking that this would be a quick way to finish the rod and get on the water and maybe even better finish. Advice or experience with UV curing on this subject would be awesome!

Re: First custom...

Just finished the rod. Pictures will be posted later. Guides are a little off but overall I think the spacing and placement should be fine. Static test looks fine but I didn't really try and mark the exact placement of the guides, I did mark it but just not very precise. Threads weren't cut off as n...

First custom...

So I just finished reaming and gluing the cork to my first rod. My balancing point seems to be a little high with it being just ahead of the reel. Is this a bad thing? Also, I started to tape down my guides. A question about placement, is it more important that the line doesn't touch the blank vs sp...

diy rod wrapper/dryer

Was thinking about getting into rod building and what are some suggestions on building a simple cheap motorized rod wrapper. Was looking at ac motors with foot petal but not sure how to go about building it yet, still researching.

Re: spiral wrap on light rod?

Thanks for the inputs! I plan on using it for trout and panfish specifically crappies and jumbo perch. Throwing marabou jigs etc, inline spinners, and smaller crankbaits. For bass fishing I want to use it for finese jigs and specifically Sharkey heads and dropshotting. I looked into it and I was thi...

spiral wrap on light rod?

I was thinking about getting a light casting rod that can handle baits down to 1/16 oz. I'll be using it for light bass presentations and trout and pan fishing. Throwing cranks, jigs, and drop shot. Was thinking a fast action 6'6" rod. I want to try spiral wrap as well and was wondering if there wou...

fishing line ratings for rods?

I was wondering about fishing lines and rod ratings. Do you use the line rating matched up with the rods and how do you determine if the ratings match. I guess with the braids and mono lines. Do you match the comparable braid rating to the rod or the actual diameter to the rod? I currently have a 60...

Deps BASIRISKY Frog alternatives?

So I was wondering how effective or if anyone has tried some frogs similar to Basirisky? I came across the Reaction Strike Staggering Gomez Frog http://reactionstrike.com/staggering-gomez.html which looks like Deps Basirisky but with dual hook points, instead of a singular point. Also came across a ...
