Re: Pixy info
As much as I love my Pixies ( I got 3 Airy Red, 2 in use and one NIB ) today I wouldn´t spend a dime in upgrading anything in them other than replacing the drag pads for Carbontex. The truth is that there are much better options right now that don´t need any upgrades capable of doing pretty much wha...

Re: Zonda 68r vs px68
First of all, a PX68 is just a Pixy 68 and it will never be a limited edition reel like the Zonda 68. As much I love Pixies I'd grab the Zonda in an eyeblink without thinking it too much.

Re: reel ratio's
I was noticing that all my reels are 6:x or 7:x reels and that most of my reels are finesse full. I have resisted 5:x crankbait reels because I felt they were not fast enough if I wanted to throw a lipless crank. Do you guys dedicate 5:x reels for deep and medium divers? Now that the newness of the...

Olympic Fishing, aka, GraphiteLeader rods, I have two, Bosco ( the lowest end ) and Veloce ( mid end ) , I'm super happy with both. Never heard of them before.

Re: Reel setting for powerful cast?
Doesn´t the "power" come from your testicles ? in Mexico we call them "huevos" , so powerful cast means you should cast with huevos, the more the better.

Re: Daiwa PX Type R
The pessimist in me says that the USDM Pixy which is the the PX Type R is done because US anglers don't care for small, light, ultra smooth, filled with power, expensive reels. I hope I'm wrong but I would be shocked to see another finesse baitcast reel by Daiwa released in the US. That being said ...

Re: Shimano Curado 200/201 Spool Replacement Options?
Original spools for those reels are not going to be easy to find, but they can be changed, the Castaic 200 SF spools are compatible with Curado/Chronarch reels from that generation and they should be available, the Castaic is not discontinued.

It´s not only the reel, you got to have the rod too.
