Re: What size all-around line do you use for big baits?
I use the P-Line CXXX 20 to25# for the smaller baits up to 2.5oz a30# for the heavier baits.

Re: DEPS slide swimmer
I use the 25# P-line CXX. Have tried the 30 but glides better with the 25.

Calais Spool Replacement
I posted this question in the tunning reels section and should have posted this question here. Would it be possible to replace the Calais 200 A-RB spool with a Calais 200ASV spool in order to get more line capacity to fish medium size hard swimbats.
Thanks
Thanks

Replacing the Calais 200 Spool
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to change the spool on a Calais 200 A-RB to a deeper Calais 200 ASV spool in order to get more line capacity to fish medium size hard swimbaits?
Thanks
Thanks

Daiwa T 3 Ballistic Reels
The week before Xmas when Tackle Warehouse had them on sale I purchased 2 of the T 3 Ballistic Reels. One was a 6.3 and the other was a 8.1. Due to the severe cold weather I have not been able to fish these reels very much but they seem to be good solid reels. The small amount of time I have fished ...

Re: Favorite curado series? *poll*
I had my 50E tuned and I find myself reaching for it more than my Cores. It may be small but it has the "guts" to handle any situation I have had it in .

Re: 9" Monster Bull Shad
I purchased a 9" last spring and have fished with it some. I fish a large TVA impoundment that has LM, SM, large stripers, walleye and various other sun fish. I have caught quite a few stripers on this bait and some LM also. The largest LM was a 7.5# and the largest striper was a 28.3#. I fish it on...
Re: swimbaits
Spookybaits has given you the best advice about starting with swimbaits. Randall Kirkpatrick who runs the guide service also makes baits. I just purchased one from him and I must say this bait is first class all the way. I have many hard swimbaits and in fact that is about all I fish now. Do the Sou...

Re: replacement Hooks
I had a 3/0 ST-41 treble on my MS Mini Slammer. It was too large and stayed tangled in the line at front of the bait at least 50% of the time. Went to a 1/0 ST-41 and it works great and as with most all owner hooks sticks the fish and holds them.

Re: Mattlures tournament series
This is my first year to fish with Matt Lure swimbaits. I use the tournament series and the baby and hardgill series. I fish some tournaments with a friend that are 5 fish with LMB 14" and SMB 20" are the minimum lengths. After we catch a limit if we do we then go to swimbaits to try to catch what w...

Re: Bull shad vs BBZ 1
I also like the Bull Shad. I consider the BBZ more of an entry bait into swimbait fishing but it will catch fish also.
