Re: Shipping fishing company poll
USPS is the only company I've ever had break a rod in transit. I sent them the PayPal invoice and I had a check in 5 days or so. UPS I'll never ship with again if I can get away with it. If something happens to the rod they're the hardest to extract a claim from. FedEx is reasonable if you print the...

Re: Alphas SV-maintenance question
Those springs can be a little troublesome, but I've never had to replace one and I've been using almost exclusively Daiwa reels for quite a few years now. Try to bend the portion that goes into the frame out a little to create more friction. It also helps to dab a little grease in the hole before th...

Re: What reels for Megabass Diablo Fast Move and Extreme Mis
I've got the 50th Anniversary Zillion on my Diablo Fast Move and it's a really nice combo. I've been fishing mostly Keitech swimbaits on it.

It works, but the handle collars are different. You'll need the Tatula handle collar also.

Re: ? for those who have/had both a Pixy & CH 50e
I would pick the Daiwa PX-R or the Airy Red Pixy. The CH50E stock spool isn't as well suited for finesse.

Hope it works! The screwdriver I like best is the Wiha 26110.

Re: Megabass MH Texas Rig Rod
The only one of those rods I own is the X7 F5.1/2-70X7 Diablo Fastmove, and IMO it's too much rod for the weights you mentioned. Based on your list I'd probably lean towards the Western Flip.

Re: Any one ever removed Daiwa Z200 side plate(gear side)?
That screw can be tricky. Make sure you have the proper size Phillips screwdriver and take your time. Worst case would be to use an extractor bit as described here: http://forums.tackletour.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=29636&hilit=extractor The last time I needed a replacement part for a Z200H it was VE...

The "old" Zillion. If I had to pick just one it's the 100SHSA.

Re: Roller Clutch - antireverse bearing maintenance
I leave it in the sideplate and run it through the ultrasonic for 10-15 minutes with a rather diluted Simple Green solution. I've never had any trouble. Then add a drop or 2 of oil to it after it has some time to dry.
