Re: Megabass Black Jungle Power Versatile
The Power Versatile can handle bigger baits, but it can handle a 1/2 oz swim jig with a trailer like a reaction innovations skinny dipper just fine. Are there rods better suited for this, sure, but if your in the heavy grass or millfoil, its nice to have that extra power if you pull up a huge wad wi...

Re: OG zillion Spools and behavior
The IP 79 has the same spool as the J Dream, It is going to cast lighter weights than the standard zillion spool.

Re: Can we talk Alpha for a second
I have that stock spool from the 105 finesse custom. It's pretty nice; bombs flukes on 6 lb. Hybrid. I dont pitch with it but I could try it. The finesse custom has a decent spool. It can cast down to about 1/8 oz. The SV 105 is going to be better for skipping. I guess it comes down to do you want ...
Re: ZOOM!
GLX 803c and TDZ ? Zoom is awesome. I had thought of that, but never found a used one for cheap. I have a M/XF Avid that I use for popper/flukes and didn't like it for my Trickworm-dreams, but I don't like XF rods much as GP rods, which the ideal Trickworm rod will need to be. I will look into the ...

Re: Can we talk Alpha for a second
If your wanting a swept handle, 7.2:1 and a sv spool that is going to be better for skipping and pitching, your better off getting a SV 105 because it comes with that already. The sv 105/alphas/sol reel is smaller than the alphas 150 reel. Is it going to have the line capacity for that 7'1" X7 rod i...

Re: Can we talk Alpha for a second
The term coined here on this site was "Alphasaurus". The TD Advantage and the JDM Alphas 150 share the same frame. Then the TD Sol and the Alphas 103/105 share the same frame. There was a shallower stock spool from one of the JDM variants built on the 150 frame, but I cant remember which model. The...

Shipping prices are up because they have to use a different shipper. Items are at a standstill @ Japan post/ems right now.

Re: New Rod to go with new reel
Been close on that rod a few times but could never tell how ML it is?? All their rods seem super powerful. Still want one tho! Seems to have a soft tip with a decent backbone. Was casting a 1/8 oz flick shake jig and worm in the back yard, then put a gambler sweebo 6.5" worm on it. Will be fishing ...

LED Desk Lamp for working on reels.
Got tired of working on my reels without enough light, so I bought this at the Home Depot today. Very nice, compact, 6 levels of light and 5 color temperature light settings. https://i.imgur.com/uOUCE2I.jpg https://www.homedepot.com/p/Adesso-25-in-Black-and-Silver-LED-Desk-Lamp-with-Color-Temperatur...
