I use Izorline XXX or Silver Thread Excalibur. Never had a problem with either, other than those caused by user error.

I use BPS Reel Saver (Mil-Comm). Use their products on my firearms also.

I use MIL-COMM/BPS Reel Saver, both the oil & grease on my Shimanos. I also use the Shimano drag grease. Have used MIL-COMM products on all my firearms and have never had a problem due to lubrication.

I have used copoly and mono with a FC leader to fish for salmon/steelhead is creeks and small rivers. I have not seen any difference really in using the FC. I have not seen any real benefits. Now I might be stupid, but I think I'll save my money and use just mono or copoly.

Here's my question. Why is it that the bantam oil, star drag grease and permalube is not readily available at retail outlets? Within 20 miles of my residence I can get reel maintenance products by Ardent, Reel Saver,Abu Garcia, Daiwa, Blakemore and Quantum from BPS, Cabela's and Gander Mountain. In ...
