Sounds like you break rods often...just saying.

Re: The biggest B.S. ever
First time using armilo will do that to you. Not even close to a good casting line. It floats better than most lines I use, but coils really bad. I would try a different main line for your test. I really like armilo for top water baits. Looking for superior casting, try Defier. Best casting line on ...

Re: edge first strike update
Got mine yesterday (2-714, 2-795). Very impressed. Glad I went with 4. Crazy good deal. Wish I would have bought 8 now and got to fish with Gary.

My personal favorite is Dobyns Champion 764CB. I also like the 705CB. Can't go wrong with either one.

Re: dobyns champion extreme 742 or 743
I definitely wouldn't go with the 742. It would be the 743 or 744. I have and regularly use both rods equally. I guess I'm in the minority, but I really love my 743 for fishing a 1/4oz or lighter shakey head. Especially fishing from the bank, I think the 743 will load up better to get that bait out ...

Re: edge first strike update
I guess I'm in the minority, as I am not too emotionally attached to this deal. Really don't care if they say anything or not, just patiently waiting for a nice surprise one of these days when there's a tube on the doorstep. I just did the deal for a cheap deal on a good rod, didn't see it as inves...

Re: Dobyns Alabama Rig Rod?
I use the 765 flipping stick for the a-rig. Used it for close to a couple years. Gets the job done. Casts really good.

Anyone build your own bass attractors?
I just received a bunch of PVC miscuts from a plumber friend. I notice in catalogs they sell a sphere with 1/2" PVC coming out. Are these effective or is there a better way to create attractors with PVC? I have all different sizes of PVC and have a bunch of 1 gallon buckets. I was thinking of just u...

Re: Poppers vs"walk the dog" stick baits
You can do both with a short, fat popper, like the unpainted cranks Predator Baits sells. Scroll down to the Megabass Popmax popper knockoff. It will walk almost in place with small twitches, pop and shoot out water on a hard pull, and casts like a bullet. http://www.predatorbassbaits.com/id69.html...

Defier is the best out there, but it comes with a high price. Yo-zuri Hybrid and CXX are the best bang for the buck.

Re: Sunline sx1 new braid
how does it compare in smoothness to the super slick 8 which i use I used super slick last year and found the line worked great the first time out, but each time out after that the line got really bad. The color loss happend alot fast than alot of other braids I used. The waxy like coating vanished...

Re: Sunline sx1 new braid
I have been using this line exclusively on my spinning gear since January. I have nothing but great things to say about the line. I have used both the 12lb and 16lb size with a 10lb and 12lb sniper leader. I have fished shakey heads, senkos rigged all different ways, drop shots, and soft jerks. I ha...
