Re: Got some big ones last year!

That's awesome Hayden!(I'm assuming you caught them in your native Virginia-if so, even cooler!). Glad you posted this cool story and huge fish-congrats! =D> =D> =D> Wow nice fish! Are these all caught from the bank? He doesn't have a car, much less a boat! Very true, thanks guys! I share a c...

Got some big ones last year!

Hey guys, good to be back. :D Haven't posted in a while. College is crazy, doing schoolwork all day and I don't have a car with me at school, so I can't fish all day every day like I used to in high school. I started throwing swimbaits my senior year of high school, and never looked back. Caug...

Re: Show Off Your Swimbait Setup

Hey guys, been a long time. Some of you might remember me. 8-) I remember you well, Hayden! Nice setups and a couple of nice fat bass to go along with them! How's college going? Hey Tim, figured if anyone would remember me it would be you. College. Is. Amazing. I had a "rough" first year, and...

Re: Show Off Your Swimbait Setup

Hey guys, been a long time. Some of you might remember me. 8-) Got real into swimbait fishing. I will say this, if you are looking for a swimbait rod, Ben Dehnadi of Low Down Custom Rods makes the best in the business (IMO). :D I have two of them, and am in the beginning stages of getting another on...

Re: You want to buy a new reel but?

I wanted to get a 300 size low profile reel for throwing big topwaters. I was torn between waiting to get the Daiwa Lexa or buying a Curado 300E. I needed it pretty soon. So, you know what I did? In true TackleTour form, I went online and ordered a reel I knew nothing about. A Revo Big Shooter. An h...

Re: Daiwa's Most Beautiful Reels, You Decide.

Well, if you guys still remember me ( ) I had some good gear. Not anything special, but Zillions, HSTA's, and I had a Steez for about a month before I went to the dark darkside. Swimbaits. To be honest Reel Old Geezer, I would totally fish those reels. If someone sent me one to use for a while...

Re: Daiwa Lexa

Perfect timing. I've been wishing Daiwa would make a low-pro 300 reel for a long time. I'm going to order one, even though I hate to be one of the first people to fish it. Hope it doesn't let me down.

Can someone extend the handle on my Dobyns 807SB?

I like this rod, but the handle is way too short! Is there someone that could do a 6 or 7 inch extension for me? Don't know what it would cost, but I need it done badly since the short handle is giving me killer wrist pains. I'm too young for wrist pain, LOL.

Re: This is incredible.

Yep, like Tim said in his post on my other thread, I'm in Virginia! The swimbait bite has been hot for me lately. Can't wait to get that new 12" Gigantoid from Matt!

Caught two more fish since my last post, a 7.14 and an 8.2. 2012 is treating me RIGHT!

EPIC start to 2012!

In 2011 I caught three 7 pounders; one on a KVD 1.5, one on a Rage Tail Thumper, and one on a jig. I thought that was a goo d year, but February of 2012 was amazing . My previous PB was 8 pounds, 15 ounces, caught in 2009. I have only caught six fish so far for this year, but I have beat my PB three...

Calcutta 400 TE

WOW. I got one in the mail yesterday to replace my Luna 300 on my swimbait rig. The rod is a Dobyns 807, and the Luna did NOT feel good at all and was giving me extreme left wrist pain. The handle on the 807 os way too short as well. I'm not worried though, I have an 8'6" LDC XH in the works right n...
