AJ, I have a custom build with this blank. I regularly throw 6 and 10XDs. I've also thrown lipless baits down to 1/2 oz. with it. I think that it will suit your needs.

I haven't fished it yet. The rod came in a zippered, fleece lined, suede cover. My first impression was of a nice clean build. Guides,wraps and epoxy were all perfect. Rod was made in Indonesia. I'll test it out next week.

I just received a Scorpion XT 1631FF. I bought it blind on clearance from Plat. Its 6'3', with a lure rating of .5-15g and line rating of 6-12lb. Info/reviews for this rod are hard to find. I came across a couple of them in the attic. I haven't used them in years. I'm looking to change the drags and give them a good cleaning. I'll probably just send them to Shimano for service.
