new chronarch bearing size
I am assuming the new chronarch's bearings are the exact same as last year's curado?
Do the 50 and 200 size share the same bearings?
I no longer have last year's models but have a few chronarchs on the way. Cant remember the size of the curados. Thanks for the help.

Re: calcutta 50te gt
positive its a TE it says so on the side plate. I havent checked if the spool bearing fits yet, I just assumed they sent me the wrong size because the palm plate hole was obviously much smaller then the bearing they sent.

calcutta 50te gt
anyone know the spool bearing sizes for this model? I ordered some orange seals to put in mine, but the ones advertised on their website clearly dont fit.....they are much too large....I think the reason is I have the TE version not the GT?!? any input is beneficial thanks.

Re: worth it?
If you are just going to lube your stock Shimano bearings, i'd probably recommend using the lube that came with the reel since Shimano does recommend using it....if you are using any upgraded bearings you can use whatever you want....

Re: worth it?
from Matt at big green reel service... "I will tell you what I know about oil after a decade of servicing reels. Two things must be considered. The first thing is the amount of oil you put in your bearings. A single drop is all that you need on spool bearings. Any more and it will leave the bea...

Just got a stock chronarch D5....casting abilities are great....should I upgrade to boca orange seals? Ive got $500 burning a hole in my wallet and $30 wont hurt....do I need to buy some lube too? Oust or hot sauce?
