Re: Tranx 300/400

Awesome reel! Exactly that kind of reel I need to chase Northern pikes!
Once again Shimano delivers!

X2. All my reels has been replaced to 2014/2015 Conquests. The best reel question is impossible to answer, but can not go wrong with a Conquest.

Re: Furthest Casting LP baitcaster?

So it sounds like the Exscence DC takes the cake in that weight range using a normal 7 foot +/- casting rod and the usual baits for bass? Well, you did not wrote nothing specific about bass lures in your first post. I use mine mostly for inshore fishing and those lures are more aerodynamic shaped t...

Re: Furthest Casting LP baitcaster?

For baits between 3/8 and 3/4 oz I am confident that the Exsence DC will cast furthest, specially when casting in headwind. I am talking to archive the maximum possible distance, so skipping, pitching and so on, do not counter. My OG Zillions was very good longcasters, but that was before the DC era...

Re: The Ultimate Conquest - by Shimano Japan

Very well written! HM , MSRP $549 , that can explain the 6 in price maybe. Shimano extends this design to the Conquest and then they make the reel even more comfortable to palm by lowering and flattening out the top plate at the front of the reel But it gets still a 6,8. One thing is certain: If you...

Re: '14-'15 Shimano Conquest Gear Set

I have one standard 2014 CQ 200 and I ordered the needed parts to make it HG from the 2015 CQ 200 HG. So I got the pinion & the main gear and the key washer. The drag washer is the same and it fits fine. I can not say which parts should be work for your reel, but as Bantam stated before, just ask yo...

Re: Can we get a black conquest already?

Sorry, but did I wrote lighter or heavier? Just checking ...
My point is spool design having in focus more controllable spools , nothing more. A more heavier but uncontrollable spool is a pain in the ass when casting in headwind. I know.

Please make that list longer, would you. :) When comparing reels having the same spool diameter , if found that the SVS & DC reels are hard to beat. But it is just me.
