Grewia- I did not realize that bar moved with the hood, I figured that it was like most other reels were the cross bar was stationary. Thank you

Very cool, but what stops the line from rubbing on the bottom edge of the retractable hood when retrieving, or slipping back up into the wide part of the T during the retrieve?

Daiwa offers the TD-S series which is priced close to $100. I have owned the 7ft. MH model from this series and in my experience it has well outperformed the similarly priced Mojo and the Kistler Magnesium concerning sensitivity, ballance, and comfort of the reel seat.
