My club that's affiliated with BASS, (Wisconsin Bass Nation).
We currently hold 8 tournament days that range from May through September.
With the short season in Wisconsin it's tough to do more tournament days than that.

Bass Clubs (Wisconsin)
Hi Everyone, I know that everyone on this board is an enthusiast or aspiring enthusiast for collecting and using bass tackle. I am surprised that more guys aren't interested in joining a bass club to enjoy that next thrill or see where you match up with some of the best bass anglers in the state? I ...

Yep, subject line caught my eye, but I had to click on it.... The pictures are almost painful as I sit at my desk this morning. Looks like it was a great day of fishing!

Re: Finally my searching for finesse comes to an end...
That is quite the question... I can see trigger-less rods definitely in the finesse application. But there are a lot of times that trigger helps you out.qdiddy wrote:Nice. Could triggerless rods be the next big thing? Only time will tell.

Re: Airrus K3 Nano Fusion
Sounds very promising, too bad they don't list the weights of the rods.
So far I haven't been too impressed with the Airrus rods i've felt.
Maybe they can impress some people once again

Very nice smallie. That wasn't caught tho it was shocked while getting counts of the population.
Very cool to see a lake doing well. I should make the trip to try to catch one!

Re: Revo SX vs STX
If you can afford the STX, it isn't even a question. You will be very satisfied with either reel, but the most important thing with the latest lineup you have the dual braking.

Re: trolling motor upgrade
The power of the trolling motor depends on what type of fishing you like to do? I had a 15 ft aluminum tracker at one point and I put a 65lb maxxum on that boat to get through weeds and slop. Currently I have an 80 lb maxxum on my 18' Avalanche. Which is plenty of motor to go through anything on the...

Re: Good flurocarbon for spinning reel
I have been using BPS fc the past couple seasons and found that it has been one of the more manageable fc lines.
I haven't used anything over 6 lb test on my spinning reels.

I have been trying to decide on which spinning reels I like best also.
Have you looked in to the Abu Premier? or even the Shimano CI4?
Which size reel are you looking at?

Some more affordable sunglasses that I have been using for sight fishing a lot is amber lens Columbia sunglasses.
I haven't had a single problem with glare and I found that I can spot fish easier with my glasses than my buddies can with their wileyxs

Re: Anyone else using braid exclusively?
I can't say that braid will ever be my exclusive choice line...
The waters I fish are mainly clear lakes.
On my lineup of reels I have a mix of 50/50 from braid to floro & Mono.

Re: minn kota maxxum question
At $35.99 on kipawa's website sounds like a good deal.
How does this prop compare to the wedge in cutting through weeds? I've noticed out of certain 3 blade trolling motor props that they tend to not chop through them as easy.
