Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
The issue was that the E clip side was too short to fit through the non-handle side plate side. You could see that the worm gear teeth did not extend past 3/4 to 4/5 of the spool; so the line would just bunch up on only 3/4 of the spool--it wasn't able to travel the whole length of the front/top pla...

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
I had to remove some metal off the end of the teeth towards the non-handle side.
I did order BNT4010–I’m not sure what the difference is, but I was able to find that part number from the Chronarch Ci4, which I heard was the same as BTN4010.

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
So I received BNT3822 and they are very similar, but it does not fit correctly. I ended up grinding and filing down some of the shaft and was able to use some washers to get a good fit and get it to work. Unfortunately, I cut off too much so it does spool a little heavier on one side but it’s servic...

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
Thanks so much for this!
Would you happen to know the anti-reverse bearing part number? I'd like to grab up as many replacement parts as I can to keep these reels going!

Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
This is probably a big shot in the dark, but I'm trying to find a BTN4010 to replace the worm gear on one of my Chronarch 100D7s.
I thought I had stocked up on some...turns out they're for the Curado 200E7 and way too long.

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Noise
Yes, there is line on the spool, and the cast control cap is set so that there is no side to side play. If I tighten down the cast control knob, then it will make the sound a little deeper. If I put my thumb on the line and reel the noise is still present and sounds like it's coming from the pinion ...

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Noise
Just to update--I did get the gear set replaced. Replaced main gear, pinion gear, drag washers, and key washer. A lot of the rattling noise has gone away, but it is still pretty noisy. The only thing I can think of at this point is a worn yoke or AR bearing--but the reel is definitely tighter than i...

Re: Ticking Sound-Stradic FM
You may want to hold out on the FM...I've seen quite a few posts on Instagram from people in Japan that have a broken tooth on one of the aluminum gears (sorry, I don't really know what the parts are called on spinning reels). I thought it was funny that yo could buy an FM cheaper than the FL these ...

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Noise
It sounds like gears to me as best as I can hear in your video. Typically the pinion bearing will make a different noise if it is bad. When you have the reel apart you can simply rotate that bearing in your finger and feel if it is rough. Noises can be difficult to diagnose even over a video. Much ...

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Noise
Do the video again but put your thumb on the spool with light pressure while winding and go from slow to fast and back to slow again if it makes sense. My D7 also has a weird raspy feeling and noise that I can either put down to the friction access control keyway lock on the left hand side of the s...

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Noise
Could be gears but again, very hard to tell. I can barely hear much sound in the video. The sound I do hear though sounds pretty rough retrieve wise. Was thinking it could be the pinion slots could be worn but adding grease to the spool pin is what stops that temporarily. The rattling really is rem...

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Noise
It’s really hard to hear much in the video but it sounds alot play in the pinion and spool shaft pin. Put a little grease on the spool pin tips and see if that helps the noise. I had a very similar issue on a daiwa 50th. The pinion was not being fully seated through the bearing cause the spool pin ...

Chronarch 100D7 Noise
I've torn this reel apart multiple times...replaced all the bearings inside except the anti-reverse bearing. I've removed the anti-reverse ratchet...I've used some thicker grease, thinner grease, oil, you name it. But I can't get rid of this noise and I'm beginning to think it's just worn main gear ...

Thank you so much! I was looking online and it looked like they're no longer available.
