Re: Need help fixing Megabass F5-75X7 Extreme Mission
Thanks for the help everyone. Should I remove all the tape and just use 2-part epoxy?

Re: Need help fixing Megabass F5-75X7 Extreme Mission
Sorry I should have mentioned this is a 2 piece rod - removable handle. I'm assuming that piece with the tape inside it is threaded for the hood and also has a raceway to keep it aligned. That is correct. My gut is telling me that the piece with the tape inside it should be glued. Tape is such a hor...

Need help fixing Megabass F5-75X7 Extreme Mission
I'm having problems with my EM. Bare with me as I don't know what these pieces are called... If you look at the photo you can see the rod handle with tape on the end and the piece directly to the left of it with tape on the inside. These pieces will not stick together so I can not tighten the reel d...

Re: What to do with broke MB rode?
Get a replacement from Megabass USA! Did you contact them? How long is a warranty for those rods? This is a warranty case. Warranty on a rod bought from Japan is sketchy. I contacted them and the price of a warranty replacement was about 75% as much as I paid for the rod. Wasn't worth it in my opin...

Re: What to do with broke MB rode?
I was popping a baby brush hog out of a rock in a few foot of water. No more pressure on the rod than maybe a 3 lb bass... Ruined my day for sure. This rod does have the stinger tip so not sure if that added to the placement of the break.

What to do with broke MB rode?
First I should say I know nothing about rod building or custom rods. I have a Megabass Destroyer X7 F5st-611X7 that after only a few uses snapped. Replacing the rod through japan was going to cost me almost as much as i paid for it so it's been sitting for almost a year now. So with zero knowledge a...

Broke my MB X7.....
2 weeks ago I snapped the end off of my Megabass Destroyer X7 F5st-611X7. All I was doing was popping a baby brush hog out from a rock. Not stressing it more than a 3lb fish would. I only used it 3 times and bought it from jpangler.com. I'm assuming i'm out of luck for any kind of warranty? P...

RCS 1016 vs. MB IS71 Hyper Lariat Spool?
I have both of these spools and wanted some feedback from TT on which will perform better for around 3/8 - 1/2 oz. Spool will go in a TD-Z Type R+. Any input on each spools strong points would be great. Thanks

MB rod for poppers
What would you guys use for throwing topwater poppers? Mostly 3/8 oz but also some 1/4 and 1/2 oz as well. 12lb mono and a TD-Z reel. I have a dedicated Sammy rod so don't need to worry about heavier weights. Thanks
