Re: TackleTour Exclusive: On the Water with the New G.Loomis Conquest Rod Series
Sometimes I think less is more and I think that NRX was and still is the sensitivity king, I think the added spiral wraps may be good on a stick with twisting issues, but not needed on the NRX, if anything it'll most likely take away that amazing lively action. They (Shimano) needed to come up with ...

Re: A Nylon Mono for Enthusiasts? Shooter Defier Armilo
I use it fishing inshore and it competes favorably to Andes premium mono and PL in the 11 to 15# class. A lot less stretch silky smooth and excellent knot strength. My new favorite.

Re: What a Concept! 13 Fishing's Concept-A Reel
I read on another post that the Concept A has single bearing knobs if this is true wouldn’t that change the Feature ratings slightly from 7.14 to 6.42 by adjusting the knob bearings rating of 3 to 2 and the total from 10 to 9. This would only drop the final rating from 7.95 to 7.84 (7.836).

Re: A Step Forward, An Inside Look at the New Shimano Curado
Excellent preview, it looks like Shimano took the wind out of the sails on the Tatula from Daiwa. Daiwa serves and Shimano returns!

Re: TackleTour Re-Calibrated Rating System
I’m a little worried that by standardizing the rating system across the board and not tailoring it for the specific purpose or technique that rod or reel was designed for will limit it’s ranking while a rod or reel which scores mediocre in all categories will look to outshine a more technique specif...

All the tests in the world won’t let you know when the line gets bent over itself and crimps, even though it feels fine and looks OK, it snaps like a twig under minimal tension. I can’t even double the line through the eye of the hook when tying a palomar knot, half the time it snaps when checking t...

Re: Product Insight on new Calcutta's
I don’t get cutting cost, having two different designs instead of one would not seem to be the cheapest if you ask me. Either way it’s a slap in the face. I still don’t understand why America is left out of the picture while so many other countries are not.

Re: From Rigs to Jigs with the G. Loomis NRX 873C CRR
If the rod was made in japan it would of taken the rod enthusiast award, considering it’s minor price point over all other high end JDM rods, 500 smackers is a bargain. I see extreme bias being dished out IMHO. Don’t take my word for it read all the reviews. Most of the reviews being of JDM rods I c...

Re: What the Finesse: A Different Character, the NRX Drop Sh
Awesome review. I knew the rods were good, but obviously not being able to test and feel everything the market has to bear, it’s comforting knowing what I already feel to be true. No longer just my opinion but after you fish with an NRX it’s hard to go back to second best! =D> \:D/ =D> \:D/ =D> \:D/
