All my reels except a fuego ct reel have a real nut and nut plate. I have a metric ton of those cheap plastic caps in my parts stash. They usually go back on a reel if i ever sell it.

Why would you need stronger magnets? If the spool works in a reel with stronger braking force, it will work on the steez103, its just gonna be faster inside a steez than something like the tdz. I think the reason the spool has no side to side play, even with the cc cap removed, is that spring under the on-board spool bearing.
