The Gravity BFS has my attention.
You mean the re-branded Haibo Arise Air :D
Saw that one on aliexpress. Didn't know that they are the same reel.

Does the app have an English mode? :-k
Looking at the translation, I think that's what it means about 'unavailable outside Japan'. Not literally unavailable, but that it's only in Japanese language and script.

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis

A soldering iron set to low might soften the epoxy enough to lay those pokey fibers flat. A heat gun would work also, but you will need to be very careful.

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis

Has anybody received shipping information on their pre-orders? I haven't, but did email them a couple days ago asking when they'd be shipping out as my wife and I just bought a new house so needed to know whether to change my shipping address or not (plus when I ordered it stated 3-5 weeks and has ...

Re: The Highest Example – The Edge Epitome Rods from Gary Loomis

Cal, Are all the guides on this rod Recoils, or just the running guides? If the stripper guide is a Recoil, did you try casting with a leader knot of, say, 30 lb. (or heavier) braid and 15 lb. (or heavier) leader of nylon mono or fluorocarbon? (I have some concern about whether leader knots would p...

Thanks for the review Cal. Do have a jighead recommendation for this bait? I am not a fan of the double head thing with jigheads.
I use the Owner ballhead jigs. They work great for most paddletails.

Re: SpiderWire's 4-Strand Braid Offers a Stealthy Option for Fishing Through Vegetation

I had a bad experience with Spiderwire Stealth 4-carrier back in the day, as well. However, it turned out to be user error. I had what I thought were consecutive break-offs in the first outing with the line. I found out that the super slick coating, coupled with cutting the tag end very short actual...

Re: The Power in IKE, Abu Garcia & Mike Iaconelli's MIKEC76-6

I was referring to the rods being made in China, since the review was for the rod and the question was specifically about the rod. I think you're right regarding the Revo reels, though. They have always been made by Doyo/Korea.

Any idea where these rods are made and who makes them?

Infinitely curious here...
Made in China, like almost everything else from Pure Fishing.
