Ulterra i-pilot link FOB

After 2 shoulder surgeries and an ankle fusion, I bought an ULTERRA (2018). Deal closer was the I-pilot link FOB. I could operate the trolling motor from any where on or off the boat. System worked great until this year. I was set to go out for the first time. On a check out before launching, found ...

After lettin’ this topic marinate for several weeks.... I might suggest: CJ’s Catfish Punch Bait, Catfish Charlie’s Extra Sticky, and to close the deal...Little Stinker Chicken Liver Dip bait...a night she won’t forget.

Privileged to shop at Jerry’s Confectionery. His pop-x pastry section: irresistible. Beware is your wallet’s on a diet. LOL.

Re: Over 40 with a child Under 6 Months

Finally got married at 43 and was blessed with 2 beautiful girls. Put off the “operation”. Again blessed with my son at age 53. My best fishing buddy. As a family, we camped, fished, vacationed together. At that stage of my journey, life has a different perspective. Being financially secure takes a ...

Re: Ultrex

Had reconstructive shoulder surgery. I couldn’t deploy or stow my trolling motor. Major depression. My wonderful wife bought me an ultrex. My son mounted the unit and taught me how to use it. At 73, not much rocks my boat anymore...but this unit is pretty cool. I’d purchase another in a heartbeat. B...

Re: Pixy vs alphas bfs reel

I use the Airy red/dx702 for just about anything under 3/8, but mostly worms & little tubes. Also smaller jerks. When I miss with what I’m tossing (unless it’s a pike strike), I’ll follow up with whatever is on the pixy. I don’t have to cast a mile, I personally believe it’s the change up in lures. ...

Re: Pixy vs alphas bfs reel

Poisonoakie speaks truth. Picked up a airy red Zilla and paired it with a dx702. Fun to use. Honoring the “tt” way, I purchased a is 73 & sent it to dr Shields. Minor surgery and mb honeycomb spool: beautiful. Spool only saw tatsu. Upon board recommendation, bought a mb Themis. Beautiful, feather lig...

Re: Ned head shattered my Expride...

Shattered adrena m166 while tossing a pop x. Sent it to shimano. Rod tech said it looked like lure might have caught the rod on my casting motion. Sent me a new Expride and some lures. Very pleased with shimino

Re: How do you rate these TDZ/Steez/IS spools

Ian Shields is a pure artist. Amazing performance improvements with the steez/is platform or any reel for that matter. Every reel I’ve owned, new or used, I’ve sent to Ian. Great communicator, honest, does not cut corners.

Re: Rods You Have Aquired For 2019

Made early and firm New Years resolution to thin the herd. Cull to only favorites and maybe 1 backup. Read on TT about Kistler sale. Have multiple nrx, jdm, St Croix extremes, but no kistler. Talked to a few friends on the board and they said the "bones" are the real deal. Ended up with 2....z-bone ...
