Re: Steez 100EX 100mm Handle

This is just to complet the thread with a picture of the new 100mm handle installed. I think that the handle lenght is fine but I do not think I would want this handle on smaller reels. I tired it on my sol and TD-Z it just felt wrong. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w228/summers_jeff/20140723_15...

I have been searching around via google for some input on this handle I have a few zillions type r's that I think could benefit from the longer handle has anyone tired this handle on other diawa models or people who have the Steez 100EX with the stock 100mm handle do you think that it’s too long? It...

Orochi XX Casting Rod 7'9" XXH Aaron Martens Flipping ?

I am looking at adding this rod to my combo list as my primary rod for fliping and pitching. My qustion is I have two reels that I can use on this rod either a TD z 105Hl or a Zillon type r, which is going to blance better. I have been using the my 105HL on my last flip/pitch rod the BCFR 863 and lo...

Re: Fenwick River Runner 6'8" UL

I picked up the River Runner UL 6'8 and paired it with a Fuego 1000 with one spool of 3lb and the other spool with 4lb. I use this rod for trout mainly so I have never hooked anything that big. But it loads very nice with a 1/16 oz in line spinner, the 1/4 oz is a little much for this rod.

Re: T3 or Tatula Type-R?

thanks for the quick comparison, I picked up an mbr783 for a simple all-purpose rod for a bank fishing walking combo for the short trips to the lake after work when I am not going with the boat. I was thinking which of these two reels I was going to use and with the T3 being 1/2 off right now I thin...

Re: What's the most versatile spinning rod made by GLoomis?

I think I might have said this wrong, I aggree that the 803 has more power then the 852 that is for sure, but I felt that 852 has more power then what I wanted from a 2 power spinning rod. I do have to admit that the new 901S has me thinking.

Re: What's the most versatile spinning rod made by GLoomis?

I tend to fish shaky head or wacky work, or just a weightless senko. With my old 852 glx, I felt that the rod had too much power for these application, I do not fish tubes that often but, I use my 803 for light t rigs with 3/16 weight. After fishing with my 852 and 803, I felt that the 852 had more ...

Re: Thinking about a NRX

Okay Steve you had me thinking about the weight of the jigs that I use, I weighted about 1/2 of my stock and they were not a true 1/2oz they had a wide range. Therefore, by the time I add my trailer I am right at 5/8 to 3/4 of an oz. I have fished the BCR893 I found it better for 3/8 to 5/8 t rigs b...
