Last weekend / Fishing / TD-Z

Hello Guys, I was fishing the last weekend and I was testing my new two TD-Z 100ML US Trail. I'm very impressed about casting performance of this reels!!!! But I have upgraded the drag to carbontex. Question about BBs from TD-Z & Alphas Type-F

Hello guys.

I'd like to know if stock ball bearings (5x11x4 & 3x8x4) from TD-Z & Alphas Type-F are the same or TD-Z BBs are better than Alphas Type-F. Somebody knows?

Thanks!!

Re: Daiwa Zillion PE Special Edition with Daiwa HLC Spool

Hello!! Thank you all for your advise!!!! Z2020H is too heavy and I can't spend money right now :-( I was making a lot of tests and I think the best fits wich I'm looking for is a TD-Z 100 w/HLC Spool and carbontex drag upgrade. So, I will get: capacity, long distance, good drag & lightweight. What ...

Hello, I'm sorry to pump up this topic again

Someone has tested a TD-Z 100 series with HLC Spool?

What do you think about that?

Re: Daiwa Zillion PE Special Edition with Daiwa HLC Spool

My understanding is Dorado are caught in fast flowing rivers with large baits and large hooks. The Z would appear to be a better choice and if the price is too high then perhaps a Curado 300 would do. You would also be able to up the braid to 65lbs. What size lures will you be casting? Will this be...

Re: Daiwa Zillion PE Special Edition with Daiwa HLC Spool

Hello.
Option 2, Zillion Type R looks like the best option. But, it is a little heavy.
Maybe I will buy a Zillion Type R.
Z 2020 is too expensive for me.

Carlos, thank you again!

Re: Daiwa Zillion PE Special Edition with Daiwa HLC Spool

Hello Carlos, thank you again for your help! You might find that the line is not very well distributed on the edges of the spool. This is due to the special worm shaft of the Zillion PE that moves the level wind faster and also the PE spool is narrow by 2mm concerning line laying. Let me know if you...
