Crankin is a very wide field. For deeprunners it is a bit fast, yes. The pinion-bb is fine. I did what you propose several times, and all BB are smooth. Could the rollerbearing cause such a ruckus? I dont think so, plus i tested it and there is no slipping whatsoever. The reel has never seen saltwater at all.
