I have felt that pain my first X7 was delivered in pieces even though it came in a tube strong enough for my fat ass to stand on. Even worse it only had to traverse 2 states to get to me. Here's to hoping it gets resolved quickly and correctly.

Re: YakAttack Blackpak
Practice. I have a custom box almost exactly like these I built for $25. It takes some time but after 5 years it's second nature to me. I can reach behind my Trident13 while bobbing on the ocean without fear.LowRange wrote:Neat. How does one reach behind ones self in a kayak without topping over?

Re: megabass quality going down?
I only have 6 megabass rods, most purchased in last 4 years, ranging from a solid tip UL to a hefty frog rod. I fish them decently hard but I'm also very careful with them when it comes to storage or any time they're not in my hand. I have not had a single issue and couldn't be more pleased. But to ...

Re: Best US for bearing clean
I've been using a SPT UC-0609 Ultrasonic Cleaner, I picked up on amazon for $35. It works great for bearings and small parts. It has lasted 3 seasons without issue. 50/50 Simple green for 30 minutes of cleaning followed by 30 minutes of rinse. Cheaper US units won't heat the solution and will offer ...

Re: New Megabass weight shift system
I bought a couple of there lures with the lbo system in there marinegang line for surfcasting last year. The idea is great but I personally was not impressed. I've thrown x raps, SP minnows, shoreline shiners, duo tide minnows etc etc... And they cast great with little effort. You have to cast thes...

Re: New Megabass weight shift system
I have a hard time believing added 20% range, I can tell you that. It should amount to a unique one knocker if nothing else. I'd give it 20% over a lure without the ability to shift weight to the back for a cast. But 20% over their traditional weight shifting system I don't see how that's possible ...

Bought reel from Brian. Great price, very fast, and well packaged. Wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.

Re: Any love for the Hygua yet?
I took my 64L Hygua out the other day just to get a feel from the bank during my lunch hour. Rod lived up to my expectations in quality and feel. I'm using it for a ul/l cranking rod paired with a PX SPR. After throwing some 3g lures I can say I'm very happy with it. For me the feel was pretty much ...

I knew they existed but even pics on goggle are few and far between. Rare bird. I'm not too keen on telescopic rods but a slime...

Re: Travel/pack rod options?
I just stumbled across another option for those not able to afford one of those really nice but pricey JDM travel rods. The Daiwa Presso line now seems to have a series of travel rods too: http://www.daiwa.com/rod/detail.aspx?id=650 http://www.fishusa.com/product/Daiwa-Presso-Ultralight-Spinning-Pa...

Thanks man. Here’s what I can’t understand about the dimensions listed, or maybe I'm totally reading this wrong (WT3604 Nomad model): Gowildriver.com - 17"W x 18.5"H x 8.5"D Walmart – (LxWxH) 23.0 x 19.0 x 13.0 Cabelas - 18.5"H x 17"W x 8.5"D Amazon - 16.5 x 21 x 10.5 TW - 20" H x 14" W x 10" D It ...

Re: Wild River Nomad backpack
I've been using one for a little over 2 years now they are great! I have the WT-3604 it's a big boy but I'm not a small guy (6'0 250lb) it fits me nicely. It also fits perfectly behind my seat while kayak fishing in my Trident 13. I'll take some measurements if you like tonight. Be aware if you use ...

Re: Travel/pack rod options?
dorset darren, that's what I was afraid of. I honestly didn't think finding an ultralight travel rod would be this difficult. I mean there's a bunch of options, it's just finding info on them and a place that has them in stock. I guess it's a good thing I have 7-8 months before my trip. Well, looks...
